SK2 - Pitera

Conform • Color Grading • Tracking • 3D VFX

Description

This two-and-a-half-month project, delivered by two VFX artists, was intended for giant screens in Tokyo and China with resolution reaching 12K. The very bright, white scene required meticulous technical work to preserve image clarity and details.

My intervention focused on conform, 3D compositing, tracking, and color grading, with particular care for noise management and creating realistic virtual droplets integrated into light anamorphosis.

Challenges & Solutions

12K Scene & Detail Preservation

One main challenge was maintaining maximum quality despite extreme resolution and intense scene brightness.

We optimized each file and applied advanced noise reduction techniques, meticulously checking each shot to guarantee sharp, detailed images.

3D Compositing & Realistic Droplets

Virtual droplets needed to correctly reflect light and integrate naturally into space.

I adjusted reflections and textures of 3D elements, working hand-in-hand with my partner so each shot appeared credible and immersive.

Color Grading & Light Management

Ensuring precise brightness and contrast in a very white scene without losing subtle details was important.

We applied fine grading to harmonize lighting across all shots, creating visual cohesion and optimal experience on giant screens.
