2024 Burger King

Burger King - Michel Sarran

Conform • Color Grading • 2D VFX • Tracking • Rotoscoping • Motion Design

Description

For this Burger King campaign featuring chef Michel Sarran, humor and gastronomic precision meet in a universe where every detail counts. Behind the scenes' apparent simplicity, whether in kitchen, at kiosk, or drive-through, lies meticulous post-production work designed to enhance the image while respecting the brand's advertising energy.

Alongside another VFX artist, I handled interactive screen integration, finger rotoscoping passing in front of interfaces, and end logo animation and visual creation. Shots were also enriched by graphic elements recalling Burger King identity while cleaning and adjusting certain set details to strengthen brand image.

We also dedicated ourselves to skin clean-up, sequence retiming, and food beauty work on final burger close-ups to improve visual balance and appetizing appearance without ever betraying realism.

Challenges & Solutions

Interactive Screen Integration

Order kiosks required perfect digital interface integration with fingers passing in front of screens and variable camera movements.

Through precise tracking and frame-by-frame rotoscoping, I integrated the interface while respecting real screen perspective and brightness. Interactions were adjusted to ensure credible tactile sensation.

Clean-up & Product Enhancement

Food shots and certain set details could divert attention or reduce product visual impact.

2D VFX work removed undesirable elements, subtly retouched textures, and optimized final burger composition to make it more appetizing and visually balanced.

Multiple Versions & Deliverable Management

The campaign included 3 films in 2 languages with 5 variable legal mentions (Eat Move, 5 fruits and vegetables per day...), multiple timings (35/30/20/15/10/5 seconds), and Click & Collect versions with dedicated animation.

I personally handled complete project conform and management of about a hundred final renders. Each variant was checked, adapted, and exported precisely to ensure perfect consistency across formats, languages, and legal constraints.

Motion Design & End Identity

End logo and Click & Collect highlighting needed natural integration while bringing dynamic signature.

I designed and animated transition visuals toward Click & Collect and logo animation to bring controlled rhythm to spot conclusions, strengthening brand presence without weighing down editing.
