Givenchy - Le Rouge Interdit

Conform • Color Grading • Tracking • Rotoscoping • 2D VFX

Description

For two months, my partner and I worked on this capsule dedicated to Givenchy lipsticks, delivered in multiple formats (10, 30, and 45 seconds). Each shot was designed to reflect the brand's elegance and refinement, with particular care given to lip tones and textures.

Within the VFX team, I contributed to conform, color grading, beauty retouching, 2D compositing, and render finalization. We collaborated to ensure every visual detail respected the Givenchy universe while preparing files for grading and subtitle integration.

Challenges & Solutions

Flame Project Preparation

The edit needed organization so all shots were ready for processing without delays or inconsistencies in the production workflow.

I structured sequences and files optimally, allowing the team to easily navigate between shots and versions. The project was thus ready for retouching and color adjustments.

Lipstick Color Fidelity

We had to ensure each red corresponded exactly to the brand's desired shades while preserving light subtlety and textures.

In collaboration with the art director and colorist, I adjusted tones and contrasts so lips appeared natural and vibrant, checking each shot for maximum precision.

Model Enhancement

Skin imperfections needed correction while maintaining natural and elegant rendering.

I performed targeted retouching and frame-by-frame rotoscoping, combining technical precision and aesthetic sensitivity so each face retained authenticity.

Logo Integration on Lips

The Givenchy logo needed to appear realistically on certain lips, respecting facial movements and lighting.

Using tracking and 2D compositing, I integrated the logo on relevant shots. The team verified each insertion to appear natural and elegant, strengthening the brand's visual identity.

Multi-Format Exports

Final renders needed adaptation to multiple broadcast formats while maintaining video quality and staying true to product colors.

We generated exports for each format and added subtitles, ensuring flawless distribution across all platforms.
